Chrono Cores are data needed in order to completely control the Akashic Records, acting as keys to get to Aura. Kite's friends possess them, but the organization Schicksal hopes to obtain them in order to take over The World. In the game, the owner of the Chrono Cores are: Tsukasa, Kite, Shino and Haseo. Each core has a name representing it´s owner. In the same order thay are: "Pure Chrono Core", "Crimson Chrono Core", "Profound Chrono Core" and "Morning Star Chrono Core".

According to the manga, they are usually invisible, but Metronom states that a Chrono Core installed in a PC can be seen and removed while the player's emotional level has reached its peak. Through the Akashic Records they are capable of manipulating The World. This version only reveals Tsukasa and Haseo to be in the possession of one.
