In the .hack//Games, an Added Effect is a special property of a weapon. Added Effects trigger randomly when the player attacks with that weapon. Certain monsters also trigger added effects with their attacks.
Added Effects include:
- Death (Reduces target's HP by a large percentage)
- Life Drain (Restores player's HP)
- Skill Drain (Damages target's SP and restores player's SP)
- Critical (Attack deals more damage than normal)
- No Damage (Cancels the effects of certain enemy attacks; this is the only Added Effect found on an armor)
